It's Busby Berkeley meets garden flash mob meets Alice in Wonderland! On Saturday, August 19, at 4pm, Racoco is planting 30 performers in flower-pots at Socrates Sculpture Park in Queens as part of Norte Maar's Dance at Socrates.

Once more, once more unto the breach! Rachel and Leighton and our air dancer (King H-airy, of course) make art and cotton candy as part of the Bindlestiff Open Variety Show! And, in a fortuitous coincidence, Racoco alumna Alisa Fendley will be doing her own aerial act!

Come to Dixon Place for a night of variety that will include much more than a simple song and dance. Bindlestiffs Open Stage Variety Show is a non stop variety show experience that may include The Heavy Metal Magician, Kung Fu juggling, trained rats, clown bands, aerial artists, wire walkers, sideshow performers, stripping clowns, living cartoons, physical comedy, a cougar contortionist, emerging burlesque starlets, and more. Hosted by Keith "Bindlestiff" Nelson, the show celebrates works in progress, emerging artists, and professionals trying something new, this night promises many surprises.

This Saturday is Bushwick Community Day, a free and family-friendly celebration of Bushwick community organizations, art, dance, performance and music by local talent. From 12-6.

At 1:45pm Masumi Kishimoto, Meghan Schardt, and Toby Billowitz dance with Stephanie Beck's sculptures and Lynn Wright's music

At 3:30pm Rachel, Leighton Edmondson, and their two tall friends serve up cotton candy again to the sounds of Chris Becker.

Rachel and Leighton Edmondson reprise "-overt", now featuring two air dancers, cotton candy, and Shakespeare!

Not so unlike the historic Theater Event #1 that took place at Black Mountain College during the summer of 1952 and Norte Maar's own End of the World performance at English Kills, The Brooklyn Performance Combine unites all art forms in a fusion of poetry, sound, dance, and performance in a single cohesive 120-minute event. It will be epic.

Racoco reprises "New Developments" as part of ITINERANT 2017. With performers Toby Billowitz, Rachel Cohen, Remi Harris, and Meghan Schardt, sculptures by Stephanie Beck, and music by Lynn Wright. The event lasts from 7-10pm with multiple artists.

ITINERANT Performance Art Festival NYC is an independent-artist-run initiative created by artist Hector Canonge in 2010. ITINERANT's mission is to highlight and feature the work of local, national, and international performance artists by giving them access to museums, art galleries, alternative spaces, and public sites in different borough in New York City.
